Good News for all DD Direct plus (free dish) viewers. The Indian Government (Prasar Bharti) has decided to shift DD Free dish to new satellite GSAT 15 (launched November 2015). The old sattelite was Insat 4B 93.5. Before Insat 4B, NSS 6 was the satellite used to broadcast channels on DD Direct Plus but was later shifted to Insat 4B due to lack of slots.
This change can bring new empty slots which will be filled by new private channels. The Channel Capacity is also excepted to rise from current capacity.
So for now it will be a good news for all the viewers. There will be a little change in frequencies which you will have to manually tune. But the good thing will be that you don't have to move or shift your satellite.
The new frequency details will also be provided very soon.
The change will take place from 31st Jan Midnight.
